Gulf Intracoastal Waterway Bridge at Matagorda

Construction of a new 3,400-foot, three-span segmental concrete box girder bridge over the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway (GIWW) shipping canal. Project consisted of three center spans of cast-in-place segmental and approaches with concrete bents, precast beams and poured deck, plus associated traffic control, light signals, paving, sidewalks and landscaping. Scope of work also included removal of an existing floating causeway.
